A bit about me
Here's a bit of a breakdown of my recent work history, and a general gist of who I am.
Graphic Designer - Waikato Milking Systems
I am currently working as a Graphic Designer at Waikato Milking Systems where I have varied tasks, such a: brochure design, managing the organisation of printing, event displays, flyers & Digital Ads, Social Media Images for promotions and EDM Design using mailchimp. I Also redesigned our email template, as we were using images for the whole email. I pulled my previous skills together to learn how to make Digital Banner ads (HTML5). The team were previously trying to get gifs to look good, they always look bad due to people not understanding the colour limitations. Also, when required, I used video editing software such as Premiere Pro to cut footage. With this role I have a clear understanding of how to prioritise my workload. The head of marketing will constantly give me urgent work that needs to be done. My design work is always done to a high standard, while also adhering to brand guidelines. I’m always learning, so have been recently interested in exploring the use of AI imagery for promotions, although it was hard to get it to work with our niche product offering.
Graphic Designer - 1-day.co.nz
At 1-day.co.nz I was responsible for designing digital banners for the website. I also created custom landing pages for the 1-day website - utilising my HTML & CSS skills. I worked within a large team where part of my job was to liaise with buyers and other stakeholders. This was vital to ensure we always provided the correct information on our banners, to ultimately serve our customers. At 1-day, we always worked to a very tight schedule (New Graphics designed daily). I also learned to use 3D software to incorporate into my banners. I am always able to streamline my workflows, finding the most efficient ways to complete tasks.
Graphic Designer - Torped7
This job required a high standard of Photoshop skills as well as a high attention to detail. The core task of this job was to take products from a raw photograph to a clearcut and retouched image ready for the website. I also worked on promotional campaigns for other teams.
